Inhalt | Watercolour is one of the oldest painting techniques in art history and at the same time one of the most difficult. Watercolour is a glazing technique in which every trace remains visible and therefore does not forgive "mistakes". This makes visioning the work and knowing how to continue painting in other painting techniques such as gouache or tempera all the more important. Artists used watercolour in different contexts: to develop ideas, for short visual notes, on journeys or as preliminary studies for paintings, sculptures or performances. In the seminar, the wide range of applications of the technique will be explored and contextualised in relation to one's own practice. This can be useful for any kind of artistic practice. Vera Marke (*1972) is an artist, who studied at the ZHDK, and specializes in questions of conceptual painting in relation to technical implementation. She has realized several works in the context of architecture and worked as a curator. She had residences in Paris and Venice. Further information: www.diesalles.ch/ / www.veramarke.ch/ |
