| Lernziele / Kompetenzen | Landscapes have always been a source of inspiration for writing, drawing and other fields of the arts. Landscape as a word, however, is already designed by human perception and talking about a certain landscape tends to be in terms of the observer’s preconceived ideas. Modern techniques such as public transport or navigation systems also have altered our perception of a landscape. What does a certain area make a landscape? How do we shape it and how does it shape us - literally or with our ideas about it? In which ways do we resonate with it? And what if we try to see the role of art as the possibility to experience a landscape collectively? This year campus week takes place in one of the most beautiful alpine areas, the region of mount Pizol (Bad Ragaz), known for skiing, hiking, healing hot springs and panoramic views. While being in nature together, walking and reflecting, we investigate how we as human beings and as artists resonate with the site. We focus on landscape by its phenomenology, its structures, textures, sounds and reflect our research together. We explore the landscapes paths and patterns as possible dramaturgies. |

| Bemerkung | Gasthaus Pardiel is located in the alpine region of Mount Pizol, 1630 m above sea level. The valley station Bad Ragaz can be reached by public transport. Here we meet on Monday, 25th of September 2023 at 1.30 pm. On Friday, 29th of September 2023, the program ends up at around 1 pm. During the week, we cook our meals on our own. The daily courses start with hiking followed by specific programs in the afternoon. Please make sure to bring solid shoes and clothes for any weather condition. The whole week will be held in English. |
