Lernziele / Kompetenzen
  • Identify forms of desire production within the city through architectural elements
  • Raise critical positions around desire and its political implications
  • Engage with the urban context through artistic production
InhalteArchitectural forms, spaces, and atmospheres evoke emotional responses and shape our desires, whether consciously or unconsciously. The manipulation of light, textures, materials, and spatial configurations can create atmospheres that elicit sensual experiences, engaging the body and mind in pleasurable ways. Shop windows, night clubs and bathroom cubicles are just a few examples.

Participants are asked to observe a form of desire they find interesting and relate to it through site-specific interventions e.g. physical structures, performances, visual media, text or activist practices etc. The course will be accompanied by site visits in the city, discussions, readings and inputs by the lecturers.
