Lernziele / Kompetenzen | Off from theatre-acting on the base of a written play and interaction with others, we focus on Solo-Performances with a starting point in Literture. How can we let text speak to us and others in a way, that requires as similar openess to a „third thing“ as acting in the way noted before? How do we find a dialogue with a text in a way that leaves it open where we gonna end together? |
Inhalte | This module seeks to guide students of various disciplines to generate their own solo word-performances. The instructors will provide two types of inputs: a pool of text-materials; and specific levels of experience (friendship, childhood, bearing witness) as a starting point. The students will learn to reshape these inputs by a number of techniques borrowed from Sprechkunst and Sofie Kokajs experience in performance art, including the practice of "free association" and the staging of "bodily knowledge". This module will end with a presentation of the individual performances. Sofie Kokaj (INSAS Brussels) will join as a guest instruction in collaboration with Julia Stanoeva (ZHDK). It will be held primarily in English. |
