Inhalte | The seminar will revolve around Toni Negri’s philosophy. In his 90th year, and leading up to his 90th birthday on August 1, 2023, the political theory of the Italian philosopher will be discussed, with an emphasis on some of the most important Negrian concepts like constituent power, multitude, empire, commons, etc. The seminar will be connected to a translocal series of events on Toni Negri's philosophical thought. After a two days introduction on 17 and 18 April, there will be Wednesday evening talks by leading experts on “Italian Theory” like Serhat Karakayali, Stefano Harney, Isabell Lorey, Sandro Mezzadra, Roberto Nigro, Judith Revel, and others, to be followed via web stream. They will be examined in final discussion. Gerald Raunig (*1963) is a professor in the BA Fine Arts. Books in English: "Art and Revolution.
