InhalteThe module provides an introduction to key theoretical terms and art historical discourses that are relevant to the field of contemporary art. Through specific case studies that span from the early 20th century to the present, the course sheds light on the intersections between art, philosophy, politics and society as well as new media and technological conditions.

The module is structured along a set of key terms and involves close looking, reading, writing and debating as well as mini-lectures and excursions. The course contents reflect the research focus of the tutor while investigating connections and tensions between different theories and practices, past and present.
