Lernziele / KompetenzenIn this module, students learn to independently develop a scientific text based on their individual thematic interests. They will learn ways of researching, planning and structuring scientific texts and will gain experience in arguing, presenting and feedbacking their ideas. Additionally, they will familiarize with citation rules and writing abstracts as well as getting to know helpful tools that make organizing, structuring and citing easier.
InhalteThe module is intended to serve as a common thinking space for developing one's own interests and fields of research towards writing a theoretical text. The module is especially aimed at students who have little experience in writing (scientific) texts and can also be used specifically as preparation for the MA thesis.
Focussing on each student’s research field we will examine different ways of collecting and structuring ideas, of conceptualizing and writing scientific texts. Moreover, we will explore different paradigms in scientific writing and focus on its basics, such as the guidelines for proper citation.
