Lernziele / Kompetenzen | Basic understanding of creating 3D-representations of humans and integrating the avatars in digital media environments and immersive experiences, such as virtual and augmented reality (VR, AR) and spatial augmented reality (SAR). |
Inhalte | The course starts with a general introduction to the current use of avatars in films, games and the arts, as well as in social media. This is followed by an introduction to basic technologies that are available in the Immersive Arts space, such as photogrammetry and 3D scan, volumetric capture, motion capture, augmented reality, virtual reality, projection mapping. In small interdisciplinary groups, the participants then develop their own projects and implement them within the range of their own capacity and the available technology. |

Leistungsnachweis / Testatanforderung | Minimum 80 percent attendance and active participation. Participants need to be aware that they will have to invest additional time between the seminar dates for advancing their practical projects and for learning basic software tools. |
