Inhalte | We will discuss and capture the experience of artistic work with the concept “event”. For this we will include Michael Hampe's account of the Tunguska event and Isabelle Stengers' philosophy of process. Complementary to this are visits of current exhibitions. There we will develop dense descriptions of individual artworks orally, in writing and visually. Please send me your suggestions for exhibition visits and individual works by August 25. The texts Michael Hampe, ”Tunguska or the end of Nature” (translated by Michael Winkler, Chicago: The University of Chicago Press, 2015) and Isabelle Stengers, “Thinking with Whitehead” (translated by Michael Chase, Cambridge/Mass.: Harvard University Press, 2011) will be made available on Paul at the end of August. Guest speaker: Michael Hampe About the lecturer: Nils Röller is a professor at the Zurich University of the Arts. His research focuses on the relation between text, image and philosophy. In the Journal for Art, Sex and Mathematics he has published experimental posts in collaboration with artists and poets since 2006. Recent publications in English and German include “Interfacing Philosophy” and "Text-Image Parergon“ published in Koko magazine. https://www.i[conographyofphilosophy.ch/ https://www.journalfuerkunstsexundmathematik.ch/ https://koko.zhdk.ch/2021/05/11/interfacing-philosophy-text/ https://koko.zhdk.ch/2021/05/11/text-image-parergon-editorial/ |
