Lernziele / KompetenzenThe students will learn:
  • How to work with and how to express themselves through objects
  • How to create a new theatrical world through the objects on the stage
  • How to use a literary text to create their own theatrical situations and characters
  • How to create a group character inspired by individual characters from literature
  • How to improvise and develop topics from literature
  • Different approaches to create, group and individual characters
InhalteThe goal of the workshop is to expand the imagination of the students through different unconventional techniques for creating theatrical situations. The division of different genres in theatre (physical, drama, puppetry, etc.) is long over. The actors have every means to express themselves. In our workshop, we will focus on the students’ abilities to work with objects in groups and as individuals inspired by the novel “King Rat”. The workshop will be divided into four parts. The first part will be devoted to developing topics and situations from the text that excite the students and correspond to the world in which we live. These topics then have to be converted into theatrical acts. The text is just an inspiration to make theatre. The second part will be devoted to working with objects and creating the group or individual characters through the objects. The third part will be about the reduction and detailed development of the theatrical situations that we previously created. The last part will focus on bringing everything together and on the creation of a new unique theatrical world with its own rules.
