Inhalte | Spring semester 22 Location: Stockholm / Umeå SE Input: In-situ studies and interventions along River Lögde in collaboration with Konstfack University of the Arts, KTH, and Umeå University. by Eirini Sourgiadaki & Luis Berríos-Negrón Description: Following the initial module “Deposing Geoengineering, Session 1” that took place in ZHdK during the Fall semester, returning participants will be encouraged to review relevant materials with new participants, about challenging and redefining what we mean by 'geoengineering'. Focus will be paid to decolonial approaches to geology and geography in the contexts of environmental activism and art in relation to sculpture, installation, performance, visual and sound art. While considering and contrasting non-Western issues and perspectives related History and Philosophy of Technology, participants will consider strategies of interventionism, resistance, and/or collective action. In concert with the human and non-human communities of the Lögde River in Northern Sweden, these processes will be positioned in ways which may offer methods towards research and its dissemination. Ultimately, this may provide multiperspectival alternatives to the group about life-affirming practices in relation to global warming mitigation, including reforestation, restoring and/or remediating water ways, fostering biodiversity, and nurturing biogeochemistries. |
