Inhalte | In the practice module the students' own artistic practice takes place. The focus lies on studio work and discussions about the students' individual or collaborative work. The practice module takes place over the course of six semesters and is led by at least two lecturers/artists, who also provide study guidance for the students in the module. Teaching formats include joint work discourses, excursions, visits to artists’ studios, group discussions and close supervision of the students through individual mentoring. All students in a practice module share workstations in a studio, which further promotes the exchange of ideas and experiences. Marianne Mueller (*1966) is a visual artist living and working in Zurich. Within her works she focuses on states of fragility and the (supposedly) irrelevant as well as on common values and signs by which we appropriate our environment and on the reversibility of these attributions. Mueller works mainly with photography, video, installations and books whilst presence, camouflage and antimonumentality are central themes. www.mariannemueller.com Mitchell Anderson (*1985) is an artist interested in the narrative possibilities of existing objects and images. Recent solo exhibitions include Efremidis Gallery, Berlin (2021), Galerie Maria Bernheim, Zurich (2020), Fondazione Converso, Milan (2019) and FriArt/ Kunsthalle Fribourg (2017). Since 2014 he has run the artist space Plymouth Rock in Zurich. He is a frequent contributor of criticism and essays to a variety of international arts publications. Cory Arcangel (*1978) is an artist, composer, curator, and entrepreneur living and working between Stavanger, Norway, and Brooklyn, New York. His work is included in many public collections, including the MoMA in New York, the Tate in London, Berlin's Neue Nationalgalerie, and the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Zürich. www.coryarcangel.com |
