Inhalte | This module focuses on further developing and sharpening your independent artistic practice. At the beginning of the semester you will present the work you have done so far and outline where you want to go. In class we will alternate between group crits and inputs (exhibiton visits, discussions and other formats). Thursdays and Fridays are reserved for one-on-one mentoring. Every student will have two sessions with each of the lecturers (the second session with Cory Arcangel will take place on Zoom). You will get a list with the slots at the beginning of the semester. Cory Arcangel (*1978) is a composer, artist, and entrepreneur. After having lived in New York for 15 years, Arcangel recently moved to Stavanger, Norway where he lives and works by telecommuting to his studio in Brooklyn - which he still maintains. His work is included in many public collections, including the MoMA in New York, the Tate in London, Berlin's Neue Nationalgalerie, and the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Zürich. Jasmine Gregory (*1987) is a painter living and working in Zurich. She studied photography at School of Visual Arts in New York and has just completed her MFA at the Zurich University of the Arts. Martin Jaeggi (*1969) is an author, curator and lecturer. He studied film and video at the School of Visual Arts, New York, and the San Francisco Art Institute. Numerous publications on contemporary art and photography in newspapers, magazines and books. |
