InhalteFilm scoring has developed over a good century and therefor many different techniques have become part of the day to day routine of film composers. This course aims to teach these techniques reaching from setting up a session, creating a template, tempo mapping a film, creating sample instruments, streamers and punches to the basics of recording, producing and mixing in DAWs.
The DAW on which the demonstrations will take place is Digital Performer, which is very popular in film scoring among composers like Ludwig Göransson (Mandalorian, Black Panther), Alexandre Desplat (The King's Speech, Argo), Michael Giacchino (Star Wars Rogue One, Up Star Trek) or Danny Elfman (The Simpsons, Corpse Bride).
However feel free to use any DAW of your choice as long as you are able to recreate the techniques shown.
