| Inhalte | In this course, we will explore what it means to do artistic research. Praised as a method of knowledge production (even in fields outside the arts), artistic research is a way of generating insight on a chosen topic by finding creative connections between facts in a manner that is specific to the way in which artists work. In this process, the concepts of serendipity and creative association are highly valued. As a result of this process, artists turn into unique experts by coming up with insights that only artists can come up with. In this course, we will start by collectively researching one common topic and will then develop an individual outcome of this research. Like this, the participants are introduced to the operation of the whole artistic research process as well as to the different „products“ of artistic research like lecture demonstration, digital lecture or lecture performance |
