Inhalte"It is often said that New York is a city for only the very rich and the very poor. It is less often said that New York is also, at least for those of us who came there from somewhere else, a city for only the very young." Joan Didion

The excursion takes us to the city, which stands like no other for upheaval, collapse and a new beginning and, since the middle of the 20th century, as the city for modern and contemporary art. The fact that New York still attracts thousands of artists from all over the world is due to myth and reality at the same time. Since the Second World War, New York has been regarded as the cultural metropolis par excellence. With its unique density of top-class museums, stages and art academies, and with its active cultural scene, the city does justice to this reputation. Here artists find large and small platforms, here are the masterminds and the money. Producers, agents and their peers help to build careers. They are financed by foundations and patrons. New York is the favourite arena of these protagonists. In this excursion, we visit these different platforms and meet with protagonists of the New York art field.

In Spring 2019 he was appointed Head of the Bachelor Fine Arts at the University of the Arts in Zurich.
