| Inhalte | How is the present moment addressed in your artistic practice? How does the past inform the present? How are certain materials or techniques and ways of proceeding essential to your current work? A possible rationale for the purpose of art can be that the present joins what we know to what we don't. Any stage and form of artistic undertaking—research, development, production, exhibition—involves inherent dilemmas and demands. In this practical seminar we will discuss your artistic beliefs and attitudes and reflect upon adopted perspectives and their cultural context. You choose what you would like to examine or embody: from art's freedom to the production of meaning, from conceptual to sociopolitical concerns, and we will engage in the conversations and actions you are initiating. Once you have presented your topics and questions, we will organize our agenda in order for guests and visited exhibitions (or other aspects of the seminar) to echo your interests. ***
