Projektwoche 1: Windtunnel_within/verse (gLV)

When it's windy within
What if we had to go within to protect ourselves from the
unfound stillness of the inside outside binary?
What if we were only exposed to the netherworld?
What if we would interpret literally the poetics of the wind
tunnel and see wind as that actual phenomenon?

| Inhalte | “Research means not-knowing, rather: not-yet-knowing and desire for knowledge” (F. Dombois 2006, J. Klein 2010) Departing from Prof. Florian Dombois’ Wind Tunnel research artwork, during this one-week residency, we work with ‘dispassionate’ objects of daily life. These are to be used and/or sensed in other ways, looking to question the strengths and weaknesses of real-time ‘observation’. We invite students interested in the possibilities of the impossible to submit a short draft of their idea and to experiment with us on the within-verse and reverse. Bring the terrace inside, make your carpet fly, teleport through a rotary dial device, practice telepathy though a colander. During that one week, we study examples from science fiction, literature, film, religion, mythology and relevant readings; we experiment and improvise aiming to create ways that allow a shift in our daily life and routine. We explore possibilities, plausibilities and probabilities of the impossible starting with activating our subjective perception and imagination; we become children, madmen or lovers to approach what is not yet visible, while we know it exists.
