| Inhalte | This course is an interdisciplinary collaboration between Interaction Design and Stage Design. Within the topic of ecologies, we discuss our values and the ways we engage with powers and systems that surround us. We propose to frame that with the term of “hacking”. With “Hacking”, we do not (only) mean the popular meaning of "hacking into computer systems". The term also means messing about with something in a positive sense, that is, using playful cleverness to achieve a goal. Hacking can also manipulates or alienates a system, an object, etc. for specific purposes. Thus "Hacking values" can be understood as a method to recognize and understand systems and structures of power. The course is structured in lectures from main instructors and guest lectures, as well as exercises showcasing methods from various disciplines. The outcome could be a performance, a public space installation or an intervention. |

| Bemerkung | Joëlle Bitton leitet den Bachelor Interaction Design an der ZHdK und ist Künstlerin und Interaction Designerin. In ihren Arbeiten fokussiert sie die Beziehungen Mensch/Technologie, insbesondere im Hinblick auf Themen wie Connectedness, Distanz, Embodied Fabrication und Alltagsleben. In der Lehre verbindet sie Theorie und Praxis und lädt die Studierenden dazu ein, vorgefertigte Annahmen und Stereotype zu hinterfragen und den Designprozess als „exkursiven“ Pfad zu verstehen. Manuel Fabritz (1961, Berlin) studierte Bühnenbild am Mozarteum in Salzburg und hat als Bühnebildner an verschiedenen Bühnen in Deutschland gearbeitet. Seit 2001 arbeitet er im Team von pleasant_net, Kommunikationsdesign, gemeinsam mit Johannes Bröckers, Daniel Wagner u.a. Seit 2006 lehrt er an der ZHdK Szenografie, bzw. Bühnenbild. |
