Inhalte | The first part of this workshop focuses on the five fundaments of movement, the Japanese concept of Ma, and the value of persistence. The workshop offers time to “trip” in a safe environment for stimulation beyond our comfort zones. The students will work on developing their own physical language/vocabulary. The fundaments of movement are present in every action and applicable to any physical expression, regardless of theatrical genre. Focusing on one fundament at a time, the participants will deeply explore a restricted aspect of move-ment until a macrocosmos of potentiality is revealed. The goals of the first part are: 1. To understand what feeds your creativity so you may be creatively free in any situation 2. To go beyond the usual habits/patterns/vocabulary of actions 3. To arrive at a position where one is simultaneously subjective and objective The second part focuses on the tools and understanding necessary for improvisation and instant composition, through ways of leading and supporting performative propositions. The goals of this part are: 1. To be able to creatively interact with others while maintaining one's own voice 2. To be simultaneously performer, director and dramaturge 3. To develop an analytical eye towards propositions and situations The participants will work alone, in duos and in groups. The purpose of the course is to broaden creativity by attuning to the “how” instead of the “what”. The final day will result in an instant group composition. |
