Inhalte | In the last decade the world has experienced wild shifts towards authoritarian politics. These developments are not only typical political shifts towards illiberal states and surveillance societies. In machinic capitalism there are also major changes in the modes of subjectivation, in the mediatic infrastructure, and in the (micro-)institutional frameworks. We have seen the rise of an “obedient character”, as well as unseen forms of conforming, self-discipline and self-government. The seminar will focus on lines of flight out of obedience. On the basis of the neologism "dissemblage" it will assemble discourses, genealogies and politico-artistic practices of disobedience, deviance, unrulyness and indiscipline. Gerald Raunig is philosopher and co-founder of the European Institute for Progressive Cultural Policies (eipcp) and co-editor of the multilingual platform transversal texts transversal.at. |
