InhalteThe aim of this module is that you become more comfortable and confident in speaking about your own and other’s artwork in English. We will practice conversations about art and read and discuss art reviews or articles from art magazines like Artforum, Frieze, Oktober, etc. in small groups.

Beate Schlingelhoff is an artist: She completed her studies at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen in 2001 as a master student. In 2000 she received a DAAD scholarship for the MFA of the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) in Los Angeles. In 2001/02 she participated in the Whitney Independent Study Program in New York.
Her work has been shown at Manifesta 9 in Genk, Belgium; New Jerseyy, Basel; Honor Fraser, Los Angeles; Museum Villa Stuck, Munich; Armand Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; MOCA Miami, Miami; Gallery for Contemporary Art, Barbara Claassen-Schmal, Bremen; Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, Madrid; Instituto Svizzero, Milan; and many others.

BemerkungIn case of one-day study trips, the BA Art & Media generally reimburses 50% of the train or bus ticket costs (2nd class) if the full ticket price per trip exceeds CHF 40.-. The original tickets are necessary for any reimbursement.
