Lernziele / Kompetenzen | Discovering states of mind, body and voice of higher risk | Working with the power of ectasy in body, mind and voice | Turn personal ecstatically experience into a form of acting on stage | learn to play out of the materiality of body and voice - Through a series of group exercises and movement improvisations participants will be thoroughly shaken and brought out of their “Regular” states. From that altered, fragile, responsive state they will work on their respective text with and without participation of the group in the performance of the text itself, but with the constant support and presence of the group. Text is coming out of the worlds most famous lamentations such as “lamentations of jeremiah". |
Inhalte | The students will work on the performance of chosen poetic texts through an altered state of mind. The work aims at bringing the students into this state of mind by AM and continuing from there by WK. Discovering vigors, irritations, traces, ruptures of voice, meanwhile the shift of the inner system carries the students thoughts to speech that - with the whole inner system – floats towards the text and against it, fleeing the text, kneeling within the text, being the text. Getting to know the materiality of voice and speech, discovering the limits at the edge of the voice. Facing the literary form of famous lamentations with a voice of misery, a bottomless lament, entreaty, existential cry. In ecstasy lies great power. We will aim at tapping into the source of that power and harnessing it to needs of the stage, creating a dance of words and a recitation of movements emerging from a place within the participants, but out of their knowledge and control. |
