| Inhalte | Time-based media and other formats are viewed and discussed. Many art works will be viewed (listened to, experienced) and discussed. We will do exercises that incorporate and expand on the students' work. Students learn to reflect on contemporary art with regard to time and work with time as a medium. Reynold Reynolds is an American Artist and Experimental Film maker working in Amsterdam. He is a recipient of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship and has been awarded both the Rome Prize (2013) and the Berlin prize (2004). His work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (New York) and has been shown in numerous biennales including the 4th Berlin Biennale and the 3rd Moscow Biennale. Gabriele Garavaglia studierte Architektur an der Barrett School of Architecture in London und am Polytechnikum der Universität von Mailand. Dort diplomierte er mit einer Recherche zum Thema «Die Auswirkungen eines radikalen lebensverlängernden Szenarios im Alltag des Menschen». Er absolvierte seinen Master in Bildender Kunst an der École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL). Unter anderem arbeitete Garavaglia mit CCA Kitakyushu (JP), SOMA (MX), Viafarini (IT), TwoHotel (CH/BR), DEPO Istanbul (TR), New Museum (US) und LUMA Arles (FR) zusammen. In seiner künstlerischen Praxis fokusiert er auf Performance, Architektur und Bilder. Sein Forschungsfeld ist unsere unmittelbare Umgebung und ihre Nutzer. |
