Lernziele / KompetenzenStudy of different concepts and practices in dealing with the natural environment and discussion of selected artistic positions related to environment and nature.
InhalteThe looming threat of climate change and environmental desasters has grown ever more evident and affects deeply many areas of (human) life. It has not only created a transdisciplinary research field but also a number of artistic strategies approaching the problem.
The global environmental crisis is not only a crisis of the hardware of civilization,
it is also a crisis of its software - of mindsets. In the center of such mindsets is the notion of nature. Nature as a cultural category needs revision.
This seminar provides students with relevant theories, scientific findings and exemplary analyses of artistic approaches.
