Inhalte | The weekly publication "Sounding Out!" is at the core of our course. We will reflect on the following topics: how does listening impact the production of social difference, and vice versa? What is the relationship between sound and power? We will listen and discuss works of relevant artists and composers. You will work on a project, collectively or by yourself. There will be a mini crash course on the open-source sound editing software Audacity, but this course isn't about learning a software. Instead everyone will search for the technologies needed for his/her project and share their skills during our group sessions. We will confront the common formats of artworks with the political possibilities of sound. Aurélie Mermod hat ein Masterstudium in Sound Arts an der University of the Arts London und einen Bachelor in medialen Künsten an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste abgeschlossen. Arbeitsschwerpunkte: socio-political practices of sound. Künstlerische Praxis: research, sound works, mixed-media. |
