Zielgruppen | BA Art & Media |
Lernziele / Kompetenzen | Inserting our own interests and work as artists into a larger political context. Weaving interests from other fields (literature, film, sociology, political science, etc) into our work, in order to create a sustainable activity. Working with what is in our immediate surroundings and with simple elements. |
Inhalte | We will explore the question of how the content of an artwork is determined. Why do we work with certain themes and not others? Are we conditioned to do so? Where is the limit between artist and person? We will also focus on the use of fiction and narrative structures as a means of treating themes of socio-political interest. An emphasis will be put on working with elements from our immediate surroundings. We will explore content stemming from other fields, such as literature, political science or film. The exact content we will explore will also greatly depend on the interests of the participants. Marta Riniker-Radich is an artist working with drawing and installation. Her work makes use of narrative structures as a means of creating bodies of work that interrogate historical figures/situations and current social phenomena. |
