InhalteOutside of the annual pilgrimage to Art Basel Miami, we will explore the local, but internationally active art scene and other important cultural spots. Starting with the history of Miami as the first destination for many refugees from Europe, South America and the Caribbean to becoming the drug capital of the US in the 80ies, we will meet with the main agents who are engaging audiences that transcend geographic, racial, and socioeconomic barriers and who developed the Miami art scene into the current relevance for the international art scene.
