InhalteThe starting point of the course is the exhibition "Sounds Like Her" curated by Christine Eyene. The exhibition was "set to broaden existing approaches to sound art, and to contest Eurocentric and patriarchal frameworks that have informed sound art practice and, arguably continue to dominate the scene today." We will listen and discuss works of relevant artists and composers. We will explore formats make which sound works possible. You will work on a project, collectively or by yourself.

Aurélie Mermod hat ein Masterstudium in Sound Arts an der University of the Arts London und einen Bachelor in medialen Künsten an der Züricher Hochschule der Künste abgeschlossen. Seit 2014 ist sie Assistentin in der Vertiefung Mediale Künste. Arbeitsschwerpunkte: socio-political practices of sound. Künstlerische Praxis: research, sound works, mixed-media.
