InhalteThis course will focus, from both a historically and contemporary perspective, on the topic of the 'self' in relation to medium, space and time. This topic will be used in an experimental approach toward curating scenes with varying narratives that blur the distinctions between fiction and reality.

Ian Wooldridge is an artist and media historian. There are two intertwined strands in his work. On the one hand, he consciously works with familiar topics and genres, such as sex, death, comedy & violence frequently by appropriating, re-working and re-purposing material found on the internet and on television. On the other hand, he is interested in skewing and queering media, unhinging their structures, narratives, vocabularies, and spaces. I’m currently working on a PhD in Medienwissenschaft under the supervision of Prof Ute Holl, Universität Basel & Prof Mary Ann Doane, Berkeley, University of California. Thesis title: Queer Space, Video Space, Hermetic Space: Senses of self unhinged.
Bibliographie / LiteraturThe participants will receive the corresponding texts and tasks before the seminar.
