| Inhalte | “Burlesque is a form between dance and speech, which almost always intervenes in defence of a political, social and human minority.” Starting from the work done around the creation of Gustavia (a duo created with La Ribot in 2007), we will analyze, use and apply the composition processes at work for the construction of this piece. We will rely on the analysis of the burlesque movement in silent film through a corpus of images and its transposition to the stage. This will also be a way of approaching the question of laughter and comedy in dance, a topic that remains little discussed on sets, with the exception of a few eponymous plays. |
