| Inhalte | Even before the advent of sound film, there was dialogue between music and experimental film: the earliest abstract films aspired to be visual equivalents of music. Ever since, there has been on-going cross-fertilization between experimental film, video, and music, whether it's pop music, classical music, or the avant-garde. The module will investigate key points in this dialogue, ranging from abstract film to music videos, from dance film to video operas, thus raising central questions confronting time-based media. |
