Lehrform | The Praxismodul will take various forms; seminar, lectures, mentoring (Arbeitsgespräche), group discussion and individual research. It is led by Sadie Plant, Rozsa Farkas, Olivia Jaques and Marc Bauer, and taught in English and German. |
Inhalte | In this Praxismodul, students will explore the relationship between text and image, context and image and/or text as an image. We will focus on two books: Empire, by Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt and Danke für das Leben by Sibylle Berg. We will analyse economics, politics and through these topics, the construction of our identity. What are the relationships between political systems and/or economics and individuality, and how are we shaped by them? We will pursue these questions through explorations of contemporary art, film, popular culture, and other texts. Students should read the two books before the beginning of the semester. |
