Inhalte | The course will give you an insight into sound arts practices. We will look in detail at the strategies of the art group Utra-Red. "Exploring acoustic space as enunciative of social relations, Utra-Red take up the acoustic mapping of contested spaces and histories utilizing sound-based research (termed Militant Sound Investigations) that directly engage the organizing and analyses of political struggles" (Ultra-Red, 2000). You will work on a sound project in group. The course is not about sonic perfection or professional sound technics, instead you are invited to explore sonic failures, noises, silence, self-build devices, field recordings outside the soundproof studio and more. |
