InhalteAwaiting at the edge of that Subjectivity that staged the birth of postmodern theatricality on a backdrop marked by the vanishing of the traditional protocols of playwriting, the strange ways and models of silent dramaturgy has come somehow to represent a big shift of the Poetics towards a new Objectivity and, quite curiously, a new Objectuality.
The aim of this workshop is to convey a coherent setting of proceedings and methodologies in postdramatic theatre and silent dramaturgy with a special focus on the objects in theatre (and the object as theatre) not really as a tool but instead as the main embodiment of a poetical paradigm that rebuild the place for objectuality by widening the geography of what they called "Theatre of objects".
We will consider, between other issues:
  • The status of the objects (and the objects as tools of status) in postmodern consumerism (and the poetics of a neue Unheimlichkeit)
  • The role of the objects in space as a score, between opticity and hapticity.
  • The inorganic sex-appeal of things.
  • The shift from Objectivity to Objectuality to Objection (to Abjection).
  • The passage from a symbolical to an allegorical protocol of meaning.
  • The role of the object in the unthinkable program of a Post-human theatre.
