Lernziele / Kompetenzen | The aim of the course is to stimulate the body and its movement capacity, so the actor's body becomes free for any theatrical action. The main interest is not to give an intellectual meaning to one's research, but to open the actor to a vast scale of human sensations, from the most profound to the most banal and ridiculous. |
Inhalte | "Man is a machine which constantly produces myths. By doing so he is brought to poetry". The human body is a fundamental vehicle for communication. Gesture, action and matter, as well as mind and soul are imprinted in our bodies. Through physical exercises and improvisations aimed to destabilise preestablished theatrical conventions, the actor will find himself in a state of confusion, inevitable for revealing one's own nature and expression with increased ability and clarity. The actor will be challenged to utmost attention on his body in movement, on the space within and around him as well as on his partners. Hence, he is asked to sharpen his listening in a scenic space and to assume the responsibility for a theatrical action in its totality, regardless of it being improvised or fixed. |
